Working… **edited**

Mondays are always busy for me.  My husband doesn’t work on Mondays, so I try and use the day to get as much work done as I can while he watches the little free radicals we call children.

I admit, this morning I raced off to Last Chance to look for shoes for the kids- found them each a pair and a pair for me!  Then, it was straight to work.  This afternoon I’ve been working on graphics for Smeeks and Frances (I so love designing for Geroganne!)….  I think it’s ok to show you this, it is still pending approval, but I just love it and want to share:

What do you think of the candy jar?  My husband thought at first glance it was a baby bottle…?  Ok, after the comments and emails, it looks like most of you agree with my husband.  So, here is a new version, more like a candy jar no?

re-vamped candy jar

Next up, spending time this evening in the studio working on more of these… What about you, how has your Monday been?

I have to agree it does look like a baby bottle at first glance. I can see now that it looks like an old fashioned candy jar. I really like the gnome. too cute.

your embroidery stitches are just so perfect. Wow, wish I could take lessons from you. Gonna be in colorado any time soon? and I have absolutely no idea how you design the graphics. Maybe it does look a little more like a bottle than a candy jar :)

Cute graphics, Heather! Love the gnome! Maybe you could make the candy jar with a foot/pedestal thingy so it looks more jar-ish and less bottle-ish (?).

I have to say, I was just there on Friday (that’s a story) and they actually sell baby bottles filled with candy that look just like that graphic!

I like the second version a lot! Maybe make the mouth of the container a little wider and the rim of the top correspondingly. Big enough for a little hand to scoop out some candy ;)
