Visions of Sugar Plums

Sugar Plum

My sister in law asked me to make this for her (to give as a gift) ages ago and I finally finished it last night. I’m really pleased with how it turned out. I had to use med. ric rac because I couldn’t find it any larger in this color.

Well, I don’t suspect there is going to be much crafting out of anything other than Popsicle sticks going on over here this summer. The little monkey’s are keeping me pretty busy, and swim lessons start next week. Despite the lack of crafts, I am still anxious to get my hands on so many of the new fabrics that debuted at Quilt Market a few weeks ago. I’ve been flitting around the blogosphere just admiring fabrics here and there and now I am waiting for them to arrive at Zoe’s.

Waiting To Buy

On an unrelated note, I have 98 sales in my etsy shop, just want to let you all know 100th sale gets FREE SHIPPING anywhere in the continental USA.  Just use code 08-100 at checkout and I’ll revise the invoice.

What about you?  What do you have planned this summer?

Just curious is that fabric you used for the backing still available? Do you know who made it?

It is just too pretty and I need some in my ever growing fabric stash!

Yay! I love it and can’t wait to give it to her!! : ) Thank you so much!

That is adorable! You are so crafty!

I checked out the website you suggested for fabric for my chairs, but I’m so nervous about buying it without seeing it for real. What if it’s not the right weight, or if the pattern is the wrong size, or something else I haven’t thought of? (I think I’m stressing about it a bit much.)

Lovely blanket and I love the colour of the ric rac - we only get one size over here (small) and in limited colours…sigh x
This summer I will be mostly getting ready for my wedding - I was supposed to be doing my bouquets today with my friend, but her daughter is having a major temper tantrum, so we’ve shelved it for a day or so! x
