Too Long
It has been too long since I have done anything creative. I haven’t cooked a meal in over a week (or baked), sewn anything or made anything either! Which means that my brain is brimming with ideas and I can’t keep track of them or turn them off when I am trying to sleep. I lay in bed for over and hour before I fell asleep last night. Here are some of the ideas that are overflowing from my creative brain:
- paint the picnic basket deep red and put in sewing room with magazines. Should I use a polyurethane on it after I paint?
- finding a washable red velvet to turn the vintage rose napkins into pillow covers, hiding a zipper in the back seam
- brown silk curtains for my bedroom, check tuesday morning first then ebay/craigslist
- PAINT BATHROOM saturday afternoon, buy bead board and have Aaron spray with the right paint
- I have so many quilt ideas it’s not even funny
- bean bag toss game idea (i saw something at a park that inspired me to create something), shh, I can’t say more but I think it will be a great spring outdoor game.
- what fun foods should I bring to Jaylee’s white elephant party? what can a wrap up for the white elephant?
Those are a few of the things that I am mulling over. The kids and I are flying home tonight, after they are in bed I may just ring in the new year by sewing something. Anything, just to create! Yesterday at the OK Children’s Museum I found myself painting a valentines day card, my husband laughed and then I told him I NEEDED to create something!
Happy New Year to All! I have big plans for 2009, I hope you stick around to see….
**Note To All: I will be offering Ad space right over there (shift your gaze to the right), $5 a week or $15 for a month, please email me if you want more details, heather{at}heatherhalesdesigns{dot}com**

I like your list. My list is not creative at all: put away, clean, cook, return, buy, oh wait, I do have stuff that is creative finish stockings, finish Christmas quilt from last year, finish turkey quilt.
Good luck with your list, I know I am going to need it with mine.
