Thrifting Sucess

I had plans to be here, but long story short I ended up here where I found a bounty of goods.

Vintage '60's Lamp

Trying to decide whether or not to keep it for my kids…it does match their room…but I don’t have any idea how to go about matching a shade to this lamp.  Oh, I found this on ebay- same lamp!  It came with the balloon lampshade but their were only 3 balloons left on it and I thought it was ugly (so I threw it away…).  I thought the plastic balloons were an after thought add on, oops, better go digging.  Mine is missing the “balloon’s for sale” box too.

Picnic Quilt

Machine pieced, but hand quilted, for only $1!!!

More Pyrex

Added this one to the shop.

That is an interesting lamp, I hope you post when you figure out the shade.

$1!!! That is a fabulous deal.

I have that lamp, with the balloon shade! So weird to see it pop up here. It was part of my childhood nursery and now is just tucked away in the attic waiting for its next life…

Wow, that is some great stuff! Love the quilt. You could have a lot of fun with the lamp. A regular lampshade in a bright color would be good, or buy a plain white one and paint on bright stripes or dots. And I bet you’ll find something fun to go over the small lightbulb. A birthday cake made out of paper maybe?
