The Cost of Cuteness
My mother asked me to make an outfit for a friend of hers who has yet to deliver a little girl. She wanted a skirt and shirt set for the baby to wear next spring. I feel in love with Robert Kauffman’s “sweet confections” cupcakes and decided it would be perfect for the project. I have enough left over for a lounge set or another skirt set if anyone is interested, leave a comment or email me.
Thanks to Sarah for measuring her sweet little nearly 6 month old baby, so I could get the size right!
and on the backside?
I’ve been rather productive in the creative department this week. I want you to understand though, that it all comes at a cost. This is my laundry room…all of those clothes….are clean….
the cost of creativity can be steep sometimes.
p.s. I loving these Hoops & Yoyo videos over at youtube- they are actual greeting cards that you can send to people. I sent my husband this one (i have no shame) and I think this one is my favorite. Oh, they crack me up!!

The cost of my creativity usually comes in the form of not sleeping. It’s horrible.

That is soooo cute. I almost wish I had a baby now so I could dress her in that and take her to my friend’s cupcake shop. Would it be pathetic if I wanted one to hang onto for “someday”?
(If I did that, I would probably never have a baby girl.)

I love that you post EVERYDAY. You sew, post, bake, take care of the kiddos, take pics (and post them!) I wouldn’t worry about the laundry. I don’t seem to get it all done and I don’t do half of what you get accomplished. You go!!

Very cute. IF I ever have a girl, I want one but I might have to just give it to a niece or close family friend.
I am not being creative these days and I have clean clothes in the dryer (going on day 2) that might be there for a couple more days.
My oldest was loving the Hoops & YoYo. Thanks for sharing, I shared the date one with Bryan.

So cute! What is the little cupcake on the shirt? (I mean embroidred {sp?}, an iron on?) It is an adorable little set!
And my laundry room looks like that ALL the time. I have no excuse! Folding clothes is my least favorite chore. i have no problem sorting them and washing them, but folding them? Forget it!
Thanks for sharing.

Yes, the cost of creativity is steep! But oh, you have some great rewards with your projects – love that birdie over the stains shirt you made! And we are nutso about Hoops and Yo Yo too!
