The Beauty of Alaska
We had a wonderful time cruising Alaska as an extended family! My kids met relatives for the first time and just loved having cousins to play with. It was a little bit of a challenge to have a 2year old with us, but other than that the experience was just amazing!
I loved spending time talking with my aunts and uncles, I loved hearing my Grandfather’s stories about buying art, living in Jeddah and Kwajaland, and life in general! I think my kids liked the freedom they had to roam all over the ship and the unlimited ice-cream they had access to (I swear my daughter had an ice cream cone after every meal!).
The food on the ship was great, I had lobster tail for the first time (and not the last!). No matter what time of day it was, there was always something to eat. My favorite snack was the coconut cookies, they tasted a lot like my recipe!
I can’t say enough good things about our trip, it was really wonderful. I am so grateful to my Grandfather for making is possible. We can’t wait to maintain the new relationships we formed, we’re planning a visit to my aunts in Idaho later this month. I wish we could all get together every summer!

Heather, I’m do glad all of you (including Aaron) had such a good time. The pictures in this post are amazing, but I couldn’t figure out how to to find any more on your instagram feed?
