The 1980′s R Back
A craft/design blog can talk about fashion…right?
Am I just dating myself, are these retro styles really not all that bad? I will admit that I do like the skimmer shoes, they are cute although they (along with Chuck Taylors) make my feet look 10 miles long. What do you think of all this 80′s fashion rewind?

Maybe I am not fashionable but I do not like the 80s fashions that are “coming back.” I do not like skinny jeans, they make my bum look HUGE and it does not need any help in that area and I think they make my feet looker bigger too.

I’ve heard that if you lived through a fad the first time, you’re too old to wear it when it comes back around! Plus, none if it is too flattering on me. So I vote NO!

Hmmmm…I’m torn. Ok, though, the jackets shown here? Not so cool. Very “Members Only”-ish for women. And skinny jeans look good on so few people. I do like the puff sleeves on certain jackets and shirts…oh and preppy prints (strawberries, apples, and hearts) for accessories/purses/bags only. I do think I’d look ridic wearing a baseball tee with a rainbow on the front (my fave shirt when I was 8). So I’d say it depends on the item!

I think puffy sleeves are RAD, but I’m a NO to anything jelly. . .sandals, bracelets, etc. My most favorite outfit ever was a purple jumpsuit with neon bias tape appliqued in diagonal stripes on the top half. Let me know if you see one of those in any new catalogs!!
