Thanksgiving Day Prep
T-45min until we start eating. This year, I am thankful that my sister in law is hosting! This is the first time in 8 years I am not hosting t-day.
but, I do get to bring a cherry pie, my favorite crust recipe HERE and the dinner rolls. I can’t make pie without Pie Cookies.
My mom somtimes called them “poor man’s pie”. They are just the crust trimmings sprinkled with cinnamon & sugar and baked for 7-10 min with the pie. YUM!

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving – I am smiling at your poor mans pie – we used to make those when we were kids and you are right – they are delicious especially right out of the oven!

My family calls this Kooga and it is more coveted than the pie itself

The crust is the best part – bet those “cookies” were amazing!
