Thank You’s- Giveaway!!

Thank You Notecards- GIVEAWAY!

I am so excited to offer a giveaway-it has been far to long since I have!

I’m kind of a stickler for sending Thank You notes when I’ve received a gift, I even have my kids trained to send Thank You notes.  My son asked me last week when we were going to send them out and I knew I had better get on that!

Some years we send out simple store bought cards and other years I get creative and do hand print cards or photographs of the kids enjoying the gift.  This year I really fell in love with the photo I took of my Grandmother’s mercury glass ornaments and decided it would be the perfect thank you note for Christmas gifts. I sent them to my favorite local print shop and was just tickled with the results!

So tickled that I just had to share with you!  I am going to give away 1 set of 6 cards/envelopes to one lucky reader (international readers welcome!).

I finished out 2012 with 35 books under my belt and have already finished book number one for 2013 (Laurie Notaro’s We Thought You Would Be Prettier-Hilarious!). Just leave a comment and tell me about a book that you read and really enjoyed, I need some 2013 suggestions!  I’ll select a winner on Wednesday Jan 9.  If you blog about it you can come back and leave me a second comment for another entry!

Perhaps I should be embarrassed, because I don’t think I read any books at all. I did read several books of scripture (BofM, D&C, PoP, most of the NT, and I’ve started on OT) and have been doing much better with my goal of studying and not just reading. That’s something, right?

But, as far as suggestions go, I really loved The Forgotten Garden and The Invisible Wall (I read those a couple of years ago :) .

They turned out so well!! Love them. Keep thinking I should try our local printer for a couple small jobs.

Have I mentioned that I rarely read adult literature? The series I’ve just finished is ED Baker’s The Frog Princess. The whole family loved this series. Great for boys and girls.

Oh, fun! The cards turned out darling. I recently read and loved the Gurnsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. I loved learning some little known details about World War II and the barrier islands of England.

    LOVE the cards!
Great job on the books. Such a good idea to keep a list of the books you enjoy. This week I read “A Dog’s Purpose” in a day. It was really original, and I enjoyed it, probably because we have our own little dog now. I also recently read “A Girl Named Zippy” and really liked that one too, although a gal in our book club didn’t care for it. Finished the Matched trilogy at Grandma’s over Christmas. Easy fluff, YA dystopian novels, my guilty pleasure. :) Currently working on “Northanger Abbey” by Jane Austen. Never been a huge Austen fan (am I even allowed to say that?) but I’m trying again.

They’re beautiful. Love how you did whatever it’s called to make the background all fuzzy. That’s the technical term, I’m sure.

The cards are beautiful. I need to get better about sending thank you cards. I am better about sending a thank you video or text with photo. Books I read that I liked, I read a few Mitch Albom books and I really enjoyed those. I also read Almost Amish which had me thinking how I could simplify my life more, so I enjoyed that. I read Dave Ramsey’s book More Than Enough after I read it I started implementing things I read in it in my own life. I just don’t want my kids to grow up feeling entitled to things so the stuff he suggested to do with your kids peaked my interest.
    *I wish I had a better memory.

I’m currently into ya dystopian books so I read the matched series, and the divergent series. Derek and I read together, or Derek reads to me as I nurse lol so we read the christmas carol, the read aloud handbook and I have never been able to read the lord of the ring books so derek is reading the hobbit to me and holden right now. I have to say his many voices make it that much more enjoyable. love the cards, I have never been so into thank yous in my life now I write them for everything even just a visit… I should probably be sleeping lol but I feel like people have helped out so much more than I can imagine lately.

I just adore these cards. SO pretty!
I’m a dummy that doesn’t read books. Used to be on my resolution list every year to read just one book. Then I just gave up. Oh well! :)
