Summer Snacking
It seems that once I am in the middle of some project I inevitably hear “mom, I’m hungry”. They never want the crackers and raisins that they can reach themselves, its always some snack that requires me to get up from my project and do something. Call me lazy, but I knew I needed a solution to this problem.
(click the image to go to flickr and see exactly what’s in each cup)
I headed to Goodwill for an old muffin tin and then I filled it with healthy snacks that my kids like. I placed it right in the middle of the kitchen table so there are always snacks within reach. Since the foods are all healthy it doesn’t bother me if they end up making a meal out of it.
I lined each muffin cup with these cute liners I actually found at the grocery store(!!!). I’m hoping to get more cute ones at Smeeks next week as Georganne (of Frances-look a blog!) tells me she’s found some cute ones to stock!!

Doing that is one of the recommendations for when your toddler doesn’t want to eat. But that is a good idea to do with my boys now that they are older and wait for the most inconvenient moment to ask for something to eat.

Genius. I bet it will work with AJ, too.
