Yesterday afternoon the son got sick. After a nap we attempted to drive to the airport…he got sick again on the way there. Decided to stay an extra day. THANK YOU to the wonderful Southwest Airlines phone representative who took pity on us and turned our $532 fare change fee into $138. She MADE my holiday!
Everyone appears to be healthy and we are hoping to fly home this evening (keep your fingers crossed for me that no one else gets sick). Aaron flew home Wednesday morning, so I had to spend the New Year without my best friend…missed him very much, but enjoyed some peach turnovers and a lifetime movie with my MIL.

I like Southwest even more now. Holidays without your best friend is always hard.
