Sequestered

I canceled everything yesterday.  I made all sorts of phone calls and sent a lot of emails canceling everything I had scheduled.  Then I sequestered myself in the sewing room for 4+ hours.

I emerged with these:

Spring Fling Skirt

Love At Home garland

They are class samples for February at Blissful Living.  Are you excited- do you want to sign-up now??  I’ll tell you when the schedule goes live.

I even managed to make a pretty good dent in the clean laundry pile.  It was a long, but productive day!  Now, completely unrelated…I am hoping to make my Dad a bow tie for Christmas this year.  Does anyone have any idea where I can find fabric for such a thing?  I’ve bought him bow ties before but I would really like to make him one this year, but am really ata  loss for where to find thick silks with patterns.  Post links if you know of some place.-THANKS!

Hiya hon, I think I may have a pattern for a bow tie, which I can scan in and email you when I dig it out if you want? I would use mornal weight silk with some interfacing in it. Either that or I may have a bit large enough for a tie - if I have, I will let you know and send you it - we used some off cuts from a tie and waistcoat manufacturer to weave with and I have it all stashed away.
    The samples look fab!

Good for you! I wish I could cancel everything and sew all day. Can’t wait to see the bow tie!

Of course you would make a bow tie for your dad. I wish I could lock myself right now as my older boys are fighting over a little car.

Cute stuff! I love the little skirt!

I wish I could help you with the bow tie situation. Great idea. I have a pattern if you need one, but no idea on the fabrics. Have you ever tried Mesa Sales? I dont know if they would have that kind of material or not.
