September Giveaway
Comments are now closed- thank you to everyone who participated!
**Important** I added a new anti spam feature to the blog comments section, I’ve received word that some of you have legitimately tried to leave a comment only to be informed that you are spam (ACK!). If you’ve been labeled spam please email me directly (heather at heatherhalesdesigns dot com). I also added a “Contact” form in the about section, has anyone tried it yet, did you get labeled spam there too? Please let me know!! If a lot of you are repeatedly having problems with it, I’ll remove it and find another way to cut down on spam, a girl only needs so many cheap Viagra pills after all!
Here is the 411 on this month’s giveaway: leave me a comment telling me what kind of tutorials you’d like to see more of. What do you want to know how to make? It doesn’t have to be something you’ve seen me make before, it can be anything.
The grand prize is this cute retro tote bag I found stuffed with vintage sewing ephemera (trims, lace, fabrics etc.)!
As always there is a Linky Love prize too, if you link to the giveaway on your blog you’ll get a chance to win the linky love prize. Vintage math flash cards, a vintage Bunco set (I think it’s from the ’40′s) and a fun thrifted pillowcase!
Comments will be open until Saturday night!

I am a fan of everything about your blog! I would like to see another tutorial on the felt food – maybe a cupcake – I have seen some cute felt cupcake designs. Actually, any sewing tutorial would be a big help to those of us that are visual learners. I love your embroidery work.

I would like to see some tutorials on embroidery stitches. I have a giant book on all the stitches, but it would be so helpful to see a more in depth explanation at times. Maybe a “basic” stitches tutorial…I can NEVER get French knots to turn out. Never.

Bags: messenger and tote. I think I should make some for the boys, in boy fabric of course and a tote for me.
I will link asap.

I am new to your blog and I am enjoying it very much. With aprons being all the rage I think an apron tutorial or two would be great, especially aprons for little girls.

I remeber the duck embroidered blanket you did. I would love to see how you transfer your embroidery patterns and how you apply the fabric edge to the blankets.

I would love a pillow cover tutorial, like for a couch. That would be really nice. I need to recover some pillows and not sure how… Also, I love your blog! Thank you for the beautiful things you share with your readers.

That is the coolest little tote bag, and the most beautiful-est pillowcase! But anyway, I love tutorials of all kinds, toys and things for kids are always a plus. And I know what you mean about Viagra, how about a Rolex watch? How many of *those* do you need?

Quilt binding. I tried it, and it didn’t work. I know I did something wrong, but the 2 line explanation on my quilt instruction sheet wasn’t much help.

maybe on how to make a cute little pincushion like the ones I have seen around the blogosphere? Cupcakes, apples, etc… that are pincushions, they are so cute.!

I would love to see a tutorial on basic embroidery stitches. Sometimes, well often, it seems like books just don’t do a good enough job. I have some patterns and I don’t even know where to start. I will definitely be linking to this great giveaway. Thanks.
