Satisfaction
On our way home from Alpine a few weeks ago, we noticed one of the windshield wiper blades was falling off, when we got home I went to the auto parts store to get a new one. This is the first time I’ve had to replace blades on the van, so I used their little computer thing-y to find out what sized blades I needed for my car. I found the one I needed and noticed that you had to buy the whole wiper- not just the plastic blade, it was only $8 so not a big deal (there were some brands for $20- for one wiper!!!!).
Last night I finally reminded my husband to please put the new wiper on my car. He went out to the garage took it out of the package, told me we didn’t need it and I would have to return it, and asked why I didn’t buy just the blade? I told him they didn’t sell blades and what was wrong with this one? He looks and me, hands me the new wiper and tells me, ok if you can get the old one off, fine.
Well….I took a look at the package to find out how the new one went on, figuring that would also be about how to get the old one off. I was right. Took me less than 5 min and I had the old one off and the new one on. I handed my husband the old wiper and the box and walked into the house with a great sense of satisfaction!
Aaron really is pretty handy, especially with car things, I don’t want to make him our to be a dolt- because he isn’t. It was just a nice feeling to know that I managed to figure something out (albeit simple) that eluded the husband (although i am sure if he looked at the package he too could have done it). He was ready to return the wiper and it took me less than 5 min to install it and it works great. So, the word of the day is SATISFACTION!

Nice job, Heather!
I have a brief “new wipers” story: While in Wyoming, I purchased new wipers for my car and intended to figure out how to install them myself; however, the kind man whodown in Thayne who installed my new windshield (rock hit it in Utah) while I was there saw the new wipers sitting on my seat and installed them for me, so I had a new windshield as well as installed wipers when I picked my car up. It was nice to have someone go above and beyond, which seems all too rare these days.
