Retail Therapy Needed
Yesterday the baby turned 6months old! Six months, I feel like I blinked and it was gone. She took her first dip in the pool yesterday to celebrate, she loved it. Splashing her arms and legs about and wiggling like a little fish- so happy.
I’m wondering if there is some sort of hormonal drop six month postpartum? I’ve been in a funk lately. At first I thought it was everyone else…but then I decided it was probably me. It’s the kind of funk that a little retail therapy ALONE can ease. However, its summer time and I have three children, I don’t do ANYTHING alone and the bank accounts are a bit low (thank you major van repair). I’ll have to settle for online shopping of athletic shoes for my son. Wahoo!
Also, I’m thinking of turning comments off on the blog for a while…do you want to weigh in with an opinion on that?
Planning a giveaway for next week when I get back from California (maybe the beach can cure the funk?), so be sure to click over….I’m thinking a giveaway for the locals (something “sweet”) and a giveaway for everyone else.

Have you been getting rude comments? I hate when I see those on others’ blogs. I’m sorry if that’s the case, and I’m also sorry that I don’t comment more. I know that can be frustrating as it otherwise feels like you’re just writing things out into space. Whatever you decide, I’ll still be reading.
And what a cutie you have there! I was really amazed at how fast time started going by once I had my daughter. I hope the funk goes away soon and you can get some mommy shopping time in (for something other than athletic shoes).

I enjoy leaving comments but really I can comment in my head or email if I really want/need you to know it.
Retail therapy really works. It works especially well when there is no guilt too. When do you get here? Thursday?

i vote for keeping comments on — can you force yourself not to read them? i’m actually able to do that sometimes, particulary with my day job stuff.
LOVE the circus post — i actually own the tin tray in one of the pictures, it came as a gift from a friend along with a set of circus cocktail glasses i’ve never used but proudly display.
my question: why do i love the circus aesthetic but hate the actual circus?
finally — fyi — the changing hands workshop i did filled with a waiting list so there’s another august 26. and there’s always smeeks.
