Not Much

…to tell.  I have a pinched nerve in my back that required me to spend most of the day laying down.  I did manage to muster enough strength (my husband says my walk looks like that of an 80 year old woman!) to check out Anne of Green Gables at the library.  No matter how many times I watch it I still love it.  That Gilbert Blythe, sigh.

People like to talk about comfort foods (cheesy mashed potatoes, thank you!) but I also have comfort movies.  Movies that I like to have around when I am sick or in bed due to back issues.  My list is something like this:

Anne of Green Gables
The Parent Trap (the original)
Pollyanna
The Sound Of Music
and nearly anything with Audrey Hepburn or Doris Day

Do you have comfort films?  I may be in bed for a few more days (anyone want to tackle my laundry?) so I’d love some movie suggestions.

Oh, and to illustrate how much I love fabric, I’m still planning on making my way over to pick up some fabric from Jona tomorrow! No pain no gain.

I love those movies. Umm…Pride & Prejudice, Princess Bride, Steal Magnolias, Return to Me, Sabrina, Music From Another Room

Sorry your back is hurting, I can relate.

I love your list. Mine also has the Princess Bride, the Man From Snowy River, West Side Story, Singing in the Rain…I could go on.

I hope you don’t have time in bed long enough to watch all those, though. Get better soon!

I love Anne of Green Gables :-)
As a carot top myself I always identified with her!! It’s one of the reasons we can never get rid of the video player..

I would also add to the list The Slipper and the Rose and any from a selection of 50’s musicals - I’ll echo the anything with Doris Day!

Hope you feel better! I don’t think I have any true “comfort” movies, but I do have a favorite: Amelie. Please tell me you’ve seen it.

Hope your neck feels better soon :)

Today it is raining steadily and gloomy in St. Louis… it makes me want to stay at home and watch Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Roman Holiday on the sofa under a quilt. Too bad I have to go to work…

Ooh, I love your movies! Throw in Beaches if I need a good cry and I’m set!
