NightGown
son:”Mom, what is a nightgown?”
me: “a dress that little girls sleep in.”
Before I get started on a quilt for Karin I thought I’d get a little sewing done for my daughter. It has been so dreadfully hot here (par for the course) that I decided she needed something light to sleep in. You might remember this fabric from a blanket I made for my sil awhile back. I had a yard and a few inches left and decided it would make a beautiful summer nightgown.
I’m making view #3 minus the collar. I bought this pattern at a sidewalk sale years ago when I was in college

That is going to be adorable. It has been chilly here at night, so pack appropriately when you come in a less than 2 weeks.

I could just kick, kick, kick myself for getting rid of a whole bunch of patterns like this one (I had bought all of them at a local yard sale for a DIME) when we downsized. My girls both love old-fashioned nighties and PJ sets. They treat them like playclothes! I can’t wait to see this finished product.

That wil be one pretty nightdress - I am making myself some pj’s from an old candy stripe sheet for my holiday - they should be so comfy.
