My Favorite Part of the Day

Aaron brought home roses today… every time he does (which isn’t very often) I realize how woeful my vase collection is. I need more narrow necked vases.

What this beautifully angled photograph does not show….is how my living room was turned into fairy central.

and how my dining room table was converted into a nursery.

I love self guided imaginative play!

Thankfully it is all cleaned up, the dishes are done, laundry folded (well, at least one of the baskets), lunches are made, and school clothes have been laid out.  Which means I can climb into bed with a good book and lay next to my best friend.  Everyday I look forward to the end of the day when I get to lay in my bed.  Not because my bed is anything super comfy, but because my life is fast, busy and LOUD.  I appreciate the calm and the quiet; the being able to complete conversations with my husband.

What do you look forward to each day?  Is there something that helps you plow through it all?

I have a few times of the day that get me through the not-so favorite times. I love right after the big boys have gone to school (especially if I take them and get a DC), when I pick up Austin because I love how excited he is to see me, when we pick up Adam and EVERY one is excited to see each other (but minutes later I am not loving it because it is crazy), and when all the boys are asleep, sometimes right after they go to bed and are trying to play “quietly” (but only if I still have patience).
