My Date
We arrived home late afternoon today (pictures to follow eventually) with enough time for me to shower before taking my son to his last “Fungineers” class. As there was no food in the house I told my husband that I would take the son out to dinner after his class.
I asked him what he wanted for dinner- Mac N’ Cheese, so I decided on a grown up restaurant- Pasta Pamadoro. When we got to the restaurant my 6yo proudly opened the door for me, what a sweet heart! We enjoyed a great dinner and we finished it off with his first taste of Tiramisu! My heart nearly melted into a puddle in my chest when my son turned to me and said, “Mom, I really like it when you laugh”.
My son decided that he liked going out with me enough to offer to do it even when he is a grown up.
Son: “I want to go out on a date with you again, even when I am grown up. Mom how old will you be when I am 30?”
Me: “Um, 54. Will you still take me on a date then?”
Son:”yes, just you and me only!”
my heart melted again.
