my baby is

The plastic piece of crap was her birthday present from us, she picked it out herself.  It goes against almost everything I support, but she wanted it, and it’s helping her with her counting (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 12…,her as of late style of counting), and she loves it.  I take comfort in the fact that she has no idea that “barbie” is on the front, in her mind it is just a princess of sorts.  I think it’s the plastic rhinestones that sealed the deal for her.

Currently baking a cake and starting on the meatballs for her birthday dinner.

Happy birthday to your daughter. I am curious as to how you like the cake – I was tempted to try that recipe as it sounds so good. Let us know how it turns out.

You can have all the best intentions of being plastic free etc etc but when it’s got rhinestones and is pink your kids will thwart your plans every time!

happy birthday E! Isn’t funny how they see what they want to see, rhinestones and a computer- what’s not to love?

We celebrated a birthday yesterday but no plastic was involved, we went to Disneyland for Bryan’s birthday (you get in free on your birthday this year, so we just upgraded his free ticket for a pass). The boys liked this “birthday party.”
