Hot in the Kitchen
When it’s 100+ (oh yes it was!) outside and your a/c is running a LOT, what do you do? Me, well because I am nuts, I bake.
It’s teacher appreciation week at my son’s school and we’ve brought gifts all week, but friday is “surprise day”. We decided to surprise his teacher with some tasty homemade sugar cookies.
We were down to just 1 slice of bread-not enough for tomorrows sandwiches, so I decided we needed to make a loaf. And…what better place to let it rise than the back patio! Trying my best to embrace the May heat…
Lest you all think I am super crazy woman, I rarely make my own bread (and we usually buy wheat), this was the last of my store bought frozen bread dough.

Holy cow… why have I never thought to embrace my heat by letting bread rise outside? I’m so going to try that!
And those cookies still look totally delicious. Do you know if they freeze well?
