Hearty Beef Stew
I revamped one of my Grandmother’s recipes for this stew. It was really good, beef, bacon, carrots, onion, tomatoes, potatoes…it was everything a stew should be. My husband was very pleased that I served this for Sunday dinner. The recipe is over HERE on tasty kitchen.
A great thing about this recipe is that it works really well as a base- you can add and subtract ingredients to your tastes. The original recipe called for smoked ham, which I would have added if I had any. I also think adding some red wine and some italian herbs could bring out even more flavor in this yummy stew. Be sure to book mark it for this winter!

I love a good stew recipe. This one will get a test run in my kitchen soon. We have lots of yummy veggies in our garden that will go perfect in it. Thanks for sharing!!
ps – I like the new version of the candy jar…cute.

Wow, that does look tasty (especially with the bacon)! The food post (and the fact that you’re in the East Valley) reminds me of Joe’s BBQ. I’m from Arizona, but we’re currently living in Texas. If you’re used to sweet BBQ, Texas just doesn’t cut it. We miss our Joe’s (and Oregano’s Pizza, but that’s another comment). I just wanted to suggest you try it out if you’ve never been…
