We had a small party yesterday. We invited some of our friends to come have root beer floats and to float in the pool while watching Disney shorts (it was a school night so we couldn’t do a feature length film).

We learned that the screen works best against the pool fence, not the back fence, too much back lighting. Didn’t seem to bother the kids too much last night.

Because there were 9 (10 if you count babers) kids- and all the red silo cups look the same…i decided to make fun straw labels. I only wish I had thought far enough in advance to get some cute paper straws from smeeks. Oh well. They are just 2.5″ circles HAND CUT, because I’m not cool enough to have one of those big punches. I used the font “circus“, pink names for girls and red names for boys.

I sewed up this pink, red and aqua banner for the party table, but also because my daughter has been asking for one to hang in her room.
