Flea Markets

Today I ventured out to my first ever flea market (I know!, I’ve been wanting to go for years!).  Today was the opening day of a brand new market.  We arrived 1 hour after opening to find 5 vendors, two of which were not food.  I was a bit disappointed…I’ll try again in a few weeks, perhaps they are still working out the bugs.

After the flea market bust my girlfriend and I (and our kids) decided to visit some local antique stores.  I finally got a chance to go to Cherry Street Antiques…I found a donut cutter.  Did I mention that my goal this summer is to learn to make rising donuts?  Well, it is.  It was a great little store and I can’t wait to go again without my kids.

Vintage Birthday Cards

I found these two gems at the Antique Plaza in downtown Mesa.  I love the yellow duck and bird aren’t they sweet?!  On a less sweet note, check out (if you dare) what I found floating in my pool this morning!

Have a great weekend!
