Fall Break: day four
Aaron had the day off and had the kids out helping him do yard work this morning. My side yard now looks better, he whacked the nasty plant by the driveway (now it stands at half mass waiting to be dug up) and raked up the pine needles. Whew! We had hoped to go buy a new tree for the front yard today, but were unable to round up a friend with a truck.
Somehow we got roped into a 2.5 mile walk in the 90+ degree heat today (thanks husband). Family Bonding, right? After a morning like that, plus house cleaning and a trip to the library we took pity on the kids and bought them ice cream.
On a lark, we went and walked around the Mesa Temple, it was no longer full sun and 90+ heat, so we figured it would be ok.
On the way home we stopped at Bookmans, if you are local and never been- crawl out from under the rock and go! I drooled over a 1969 issue of Better Homes and Gardens and bought my daughters a few books.
Basically today- we wore the kids out. At this rate come Monday they will be begging to go back to school!
