I found this Sandi Henderson corduroy at Hobby Lobby (my new favorite store) and snapped it up! At first I thought I would make a coat for the baby with it, but then I decided she would get a lot more use out of a pair of overalls. I really wanted to line it with an aqua flannel, but the only shade I could find that would match was the pink, oh well.
Here is the snag in my plan…does anyone have access to a newborn? Can someone tell me the measurements from shoulder to ankle on a baby that is not older than 3 months?

Elizabeth has a newborn, if that site doesn’t help enough. She is 2 1/2 months old now. Let me know if you want me to go measure her!

Oh how I love Hobby Lobby. It is probably a good thing the nearest one is 3 hours away.
By the way I made a pie tonight and used the recipe you linked for Thanksgiving. IT IS THE BEST PIE CRUST! Thanks for sharing it.
Good luck with measuring the newborn, I will have one in about 3 months, but I assume you dont want to wait that long!

LOVE the corduroy. Our HL has it and I’ve been tempted so many times, I’ll probably break down and get a couple yards!
My friend has a newborn … her little girl who was born at the beginning of November is 18″ from shoulder to ankle. I have an email into one more friend with a little boy who’s about the same age. I’ll let you know what she says.

I love Hobby Lobby too, and there are none by me. Closest one is an hour or so away. Booo!
