Crazy, absolutely crazy…

Crazy describes my weekend and my mental state on Saturday.  I had planned to only walk the 1.5mile track, but everyone else on the Live for Lizzie team walked the 5k (3.1miles), so I did too.

(Lizzie’s mom Sara and I)

That’s right, at 8 month pregnant I walked a 5k…..at one point I even carried my 4yo on my back, because I am CRAZY people.  My shins still hurt.

Guess what joined our family Saturday evening…?

Meet Jane & Nemo.  I told the kids if they lived until Monday I would buy a tank…last night one of them died, each child claims it was the others (but with goldfish who can tell?).  Currently our remaining fish is living in a 2 qt glass bowl filled with bottled water.  Think I should bother investing in a tank?  I’m sure if I do spend the money, this one will promptly die too.

How was your crazy weekend?

    i can’t believe your endurance!
i went to a fiber festival a few weeks ago (the tail end of my 8th month) and i swear i couldn’t walk the next day from all the wandering i did.

as for the fish, don’t get a big tank, but do get a nice sized fish bowl or something. you never know with won fish. i had one that lived for 12 years. it outlived two batches of goldfish that we bought from the pet store to keep it company.

Heather! You amaze me! I don’t do 5k’s, and I’ve never been pregnant!!! Congrats on that:) About the fish…just keep it in a bowl. They don’t need the fancy tank! Plus tanks are such a royal pain to clean. Good luck with it though:)

Before I scrolled down to see the photo of the fish, I thought it was your baby but really hoping not since you have a little while left to go. I am impressed with your endurance and that you carried your child on your back!

Good luck with the fish, we aren’t doing pets in this house (and hopefully the next and the next- I don’t do pets).

Good job! That’s one of my goals, to cross a finish line a race when visibly pregnant!

I wish I could have been at the walk! Our weekend was too crazy after the move to go. You look great! I’d love to see you before the baby comes.
