We’re doing our best not to melt, believe it or not, it takes a lot of energy to move in this heat (yesterday was 108)! Two of my almost daily coping strategies….$1 large Diet Coke (Dr. Pepper if the day really warrants it) from McDonald’s and .64cent large ice waters from Sonic. What about you, how to do you handle heat?
I’ve been sewing A LOT lately (even managed to jam the seam ripper under my cuticles…ouch!), I made a dress for ME Monday. As soon as I can find someone over the age of 9 with photo skills I’ll take a picture and post the pattern review.

The heat is finally hitting Boise today. When the heat hits, we start early and finish what needs to be done, then shut up the house and play inside. Today I’m letting the kids have a movie day. We also found a park that has water to play in…so we’ll be visiting that again soon.

I LOVE Sonic Happy Hour. Adam will say “it’s 7 minutes to Happy Hour we better get in the car” And then I remind him, we have 2 hours
We went to a splash park yesterday, that was fun so we will do that again. Sprinklers, the boys are loving the sprinklers from our sprinkler system. Building forts out of couch cushions in the AC house has become quite popular here. Dinners that don’t require the oven to be turned on.
