An Afternoon Diversion

I have been working really hard lately on a myriad of projects for clients.  My time has been at a premium and I’ve had to work hard to use it wisely and balance it.  The kids have had early release all week long (and they are off all next week).  After they got home today we took a trip to Savers in search of Halloween costume garb (have I ever mentioned that Halloween is my least favorite holiday? Well, it is).

lady bug

We found the lovely makings of a lady bug, complete with wings!  She adores it.  I’m thinking of turning the shirt into a v-neck and adding a ruffle on the v.  You know, because I can’t leave well enough alone!

jadite mixing bowl

Then, then I found a JADITE MIXING BOWL IN MINT CONDITION!  Be still my heart. It was $15 though, which is more than I usually pay for things at thrift stores, but I couldn’t resist.

Now off to feed my family, then an evening at my sewing machine working on a clients Halloween costume (anyone familiar with bio shock?)
