Afternoon Shadows
I love when the afternoon sun casts long shadows on the living room floor. Even more I love to sit on the couch and read with my feet in the sun…
I’ve been afraid to leave the house today, I was having lots of contractions last night and some this morning. At this mornings Dr’s appt I was almost at a 3 and 80%, my Dr thinks I could go any day now. I needed to run to Costco, but part of me is a little worried about standing in the long Costco lines and having my water break.
So after spending all morning at home we ventured out to get a redbox for the kids, Goodwill was right there so we stopped and had a look around. I found 3 bags of Little People (furniture, farm animals, boats and people) for a grand total of $6, well worth the trip! I love watching my daughter (and now my son has joined in) use her imagination and play with them all.
My husband promises to accompany me to Costco this evening, or else we won’t have salad and corn for Christmas dinner (to go with the yummy prime rib my brother in law is preparing!!).

My mom has that too. I have fond memories playing with them and love to watch my boys play almost the same as I did.
Good luck with CostCo and the baby. I remember when we went to the hospital to meet Katie on Jill’s birthday, maybe your kids can do that on your birthday.

Oh how I love vintage Little People! We have a whole set, too, from when I was a little girl, that my daughter now loves. Six dollars, that is a great find, they can go for $50 at antique stores!

What I would give to see the sun, let alone have it casting warm rays on my feet! It has been gray and dreary for too long here.
Great find on the Little People, my kids love those too.
