A Little R&R
I just returned from a relaxing 4 day weekend in California. It was a a girls only trip- just my daughter and I went to go stay with Grandma & Grandpa. Oh- did they take care of me! I napped at least once every day, I never had to prepare a single meal and Grandma put my daughter to bed most nights.
We went to the beach twice, lots of walks and trips to the park and one bowling adventure- I think the 4 yo had the highest score (but she uses a ramp)!
I came home to find that my husband had finished all the baseboards and door trim on the house!!! He fixed the leaking toilet, the many lights that weren’t working, and remembered to water my garden. The best part? I called him from the gas stop in Quartzite and he asked me if I wanted beef pad thai from pei wei for dinner…he knew, he just knew that was what I wanted and was thinking about!!!
I’m choosing to ignore the dirty floors and counters, and will go to bed relaxed tonight and deal with the rest in the morning (including the mountain of laundry). I hope your weekend was equally relaxing…

I am jealous, I wish my weekend in California was equally relaxing but it was not.

A) Karin, you live in CA, you can’t expect life to be a vacation!
B) I want to go home right now if it means naps every day. Why my babies don’t want to take their glorious napping opportunities I may never understand.
