4:30pm at my house
If you were to swing by here around 4:30pm on any given week day and this is what you might find.
My son working on his homework. Both of my kids like to build cereal box forts- they sometimes do this at breakfast too. He is SO in love with that Binder and Day Planner, I only wish it had occurred to me to start him on one in first grade!
The baby, still somewhat bewildered by all the noise and chaos that has invaded her once tranquil space, is usually content to play as long as I am within arms reach.
Kindergarten homework is so easy quick, she is usually done in 10 min and spends the pre-dinner time playing, coloring or watching TV (if your homework is done I have no problem with weekday TV).

Ha ha … we used to build cereal box forts … usually so we could read them. Often heard at our childhood breakfast table: “Don’t take that (cereal box)! I’m reading it!” or “Quite looking at me (around the side of the fort)!”

We used to make cereal box forts too. And my big boys make them in the morning if they both have cereal. I think my boys would love to be at your house at 4:30.

Did you post somewhere about that binder day planner? Did I miss it? If its something you made up, will you give me the gist of it? Maybe we could use it too, my 5 year old loves marking off lists of things and getting things done.
Thanks!!
