10 fingers and 10 toes

I had an ultra sound today that showed little baby hales to be healthy and developing well.  We also learned the gender today…..  I’ll spare you the ultra-sound images, because let’s face it, only the parents can really enjoy them.  The images are just black and white globs to the rest of the world!

I have to admit I was surprised.  I secretly harbored a desire for a girl- even though I knew a boy would fit the dynamics of our family better- but fully expected a boy.  I looked at the ultra-sound image over and over on the screen scanning for little boy parts; only to find none.

I’m mostly relieved to know that she is healthy and progressing as she should, and I hope she continues in that direction.  I said a silent prayer of thanks after the ultra-sound, grateful to my Creator for the health of my child.  The older I get, the more I appreciate and recognize the great blessing of good health.

I can’t wait until this infernal heat goes away so I can start walking in the mornings again-going all summer without exercise has made me feel slovenly.  I am certian that daily excercise will help my body with this pregnancy.

Yay! I’m happy to hear there are 10 fingers and 10 toes, no tails or extra feathers. ;)

The older I get the more I realize what a miracle pregnancy, birth, and motherhood are. What a blessing to have another little one (sweet girl) in your life.

    YAY for GIRLS!
As for names, I heard one in the temple on Saturday that I liked: Mamie. It’s a little old-fashioned, but I like it. I suggested it to Elizabeth for her girl, but it didn’t fit with their last name too well, Mamie Monson has a few too many Ms!
Actually, in reading the above comments, I like Georganne too!

I had a beautiful name picked out if Oscar was a girl. No such luck and we probably won’t be using this one unless a miracle occurs and Bob’s tubes grow back.

Solei Margeaux (very french- we picked it out in a rustic resturaunt in Eze, France in Provence. A little city just outside Monaco, we visited when I was pregnant with Oscar.

  16. des says:

I misspelled the name- it’s supposed to be Soleil Margaux (Bob knows french, I don’t, now give me a good german name and I could hold my own).

    Congrats, Heather!

How about Charlotte? Or Emmeline? You seem to gravitate to beautiful, older, under-used names. Lucinda? Celeste? I LOVE coming up with baby suggestions. Get ready for more. (And sorry I’m so far behind in my internetting)
